Please note the bra did not come in the box, it is my own

And another subscription box, cannot stop myself from getting them. Lately, there has been so many green / natural beauty boxes on the market that I am being spoilt for choice!

The Healthy Body Kit has been founded by Lisa and Claire in order to help their followers to be healthy - both inside and outside. The subscription box offers a variety of skincare, supplements, protein shakes, sports equipment and snacks in order to achieve this goal. The members of the website also have access to a selection of workout videos filmed by Lisa and Claire, recipes and discount codes.

The Healthy Body Kit (HBK) allows the subscribers to choose 6 items plus one secret item will be included in your box. The selection process follows 3 stages - on the 1st stage you can choose 1 item, on the 2nd stage you can choose 2 items, and on the 3rd stage you can choose 3 items. The 1st and 2nd stages mostly include travel size items where as on the 3rd stage you can find samples of tea, supplements and snacks i.e. the more expensive items are in the earlier stages. I am a big fan of being able to choose what will arrive in my box because I am very picky!

The overall value of the box is over £25 and a product at stage 1 will be of value at least £10. The one-off box will cost you £20.44 (£16.99/box + £3.45 P&P). The monthly subscription is £15.44 (£11.99/box + £3.45 P&P), 3 monthly subscription will work out as £14.44/month (£10.99/box + £3.45 P&P) and 6 monthly subscription will work out as £13.45/month (£9.99/box + £3.45 P&P). The subscription can be cancelled at any time through website account.

Without further ado let's jump to the contents of my January 2017 box!

On the first stage, I went for Terri Verde Yoga and Sports massage oil RRP £11 for 30ml (travel size). I am a huge fan of Terre Verdi, I absolutely love their face serum I have previously reviewed. This oil has black pepper and ginger essential oils to warm and loosen up sore and tired muscles and moisturising jojoba, camelia and argan oils help to nourish the skin. The smell of ginger is very prominent, it was the first thing I have noticed when I opened the bottle. I think on my gym days, I will have a bath and then massage my muscles with this oil.

Ingredients: argania spinosa (argan) kernel oil*, camellia oleifera (white tea) seed oil*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*,   simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil*, calendula offi cinalis (calendula) extract*, tocopherol (vitamin E), piper nigrum (black pepper) seed oil*, zingiber officinalis (ginger) root oil*, eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) leaf oil*, citral**, linalool**, limonene**
* denotes organic ingredient ** occurring naturally in essential oils
Vegan, 99% organic

Tabitha James Kraan Golden Citrus Organic 4-in-1 Leave In Conditioner RRP £9 for 60ml
I'm a big fan of TJK leave-in-conditioners. They are lightweight so they do not weigh down my already non-voluminous hair and moisturising enough to keep my hair soft and silky. The heavenly aroma of bergamot, tangerine, neroli and mandarin is just spot on.

Ingredients: avena sativa (aqua & oat kernel) (o), argania spinosa (argan oil) (o), rosa canina (rosehip oil) (o), cocos nucifera (coconut oil) (o), cetrimonium chloride (vegetable), cocos nucifera (cetyl alcohol), glyceryl stearate (from glycine max), propanediol (from zea mays), salix alba (white willow), citric acid, citrus bergamia (bergamot) (o), citrus reticulate (tangerine) (o), citrus aurantium (neroli) (o), citrus reticulate (green mandarin) (o), melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) (o), commiphora myrrha (myrrh) (o), lavandula angustifolia (lavender) (o), citrus aurantium (petitgrain) (o), cananga odorata (ylang ylang) (o). (citral, geraniol, citronellol, linalool, limonene – naturally occurring components of essential oils). (o) = certified organic ingredient
Vegan, 92% organic

JGOLD Multivitamin RRP £9.99 for 60 capsules

For some reason, I thought these are pre-work out vitamins which help to increase your energy. Turns out these are just normal everyday multivitamins which are geared towards people who exercise.

After looking up on the official website I have realised the ingredient list is different from the one printed on the bottle. The company has enrolled a new formula about a month ago hence this bottle is different from the previous version. My bottle says "suitable for vegetarians" so I have got the confirmation from the company that these multivitamins are also suitable for vegans. Hurray!

Your Superfoods Energy Bomb RRP less than £1 for 5g (sample). Raw, vegan and organic, this supplement has only 5 ingredients - guarana plant, maca root, lucuma fruit, acai berries and banana fruit. Naturally high in caffeine and anti-oxidants this makes a great energy booster.

Your Superfoods Power Matcha RRP less than £1 for 5g (sample). Raw vegan and organic, this supplement has only 5 ingredients - matcha powder, barley, wheatgrass, maca and moringa. High in caffeine, anti-oxidants, vitamins, iron and potassium, it promises to keep your energy running high. I tend to blend these kind of supplements into a fruit smoothie and add some lemon juice to make it taste nice.

Secret item - Tabitha James Kraan Golden Citrus Organic Hair Cleanser RRP £9 for 60ml. I have tried this cleanser through one of Naturisimo discovery boxes and I was not majorly impressed. I found it to be too gentle for my oily hair so I ended up going through the bottle quite quickly. I am willing to give it another try though.

The overall price of this box is £40+. I have purchased 3 monthly subscription during 15% off offer on boxes hence I have paid £12.80 for this box (including P&P). The power of bargain is great! The loyalty points system allows you to earn 50 points for review of each item and 100 points for referring a friend. When you earn 1000 points you receive a free box.

Now, to the bits I do not like. Please do not get offended by reading the following text, this is intended to be 100% constructive criticism from customer's point of view of how the service can be improved.

1. The idea of subscribers receiving individual codes at the start of the month which need to be entered at the checkout stage which makes the order value equal to zero. That is confusing and has a time lag. Why not make it automated that all active members can log in at the start of the month and choose what they want without having to faff around with these codes? If you are a new subscriber, would you like to patiently wait for your code to arrive through your email (and having to check that black hole a.k.a. spam folder) or you want to start choosing your products straight away? The first time I subscribed it took one day for the code to arrive. I admit, it is not very long but you are not expecting this delay. There is nothing mentioned in the confirmation email about these codes or how long it will take to arrive. It is only when you start carefully reading through FAQ section you realise you need a code.

2. Make descriptions standard. The amount in the description for each product varies significantly. An example of the good product description is Terre Verdi yoga and sports body oil - contains information about the product, list of ingredients, organic and vegan status and the size of the bottle. An example of product description which can be improved is Aurelia miracle cleanser - there is just overall description without the actual list of ingredients, vegan/vegetarian status or the size of the product. Please include the actual content of supplements / vitamins - JGold Multivitamins have been recently reformulated hence the information on the official website is NOT reflective of the contents I have received.

3. Is it a full size item or a tester version? This feeds back into my previous point because sometimes there is no description of the size. An example is TJK - the photo shows a full sized bottle (150ml) and the description has no information regarding the size. When the box arrives you receive 60ml version.

4. Include the allergens. Do not make me have to look up the allergens myself. Especially when it is food items.

5. Show more information about orders through personal account - previous orders, dispatch dates, allow to submit product reviews through personal account because products can change in the next months and submitting a review would not be possible in such case.

In conclusion, please make the ability to choose your items automated and standardise the product description - include general information as well as full list of ingredients, vegan/vegetarian/gluten free status, allergens and the size. It is frustrating having to look up this information yourself, especially when you have 18 items to choose from.

In all fairness, the customer service is good. The reply to queries is quick and even occurs during the weekends. The problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. When I have messaged if it is always possible to have vegan items in the box I was assured that even if the vegan options are not available I can get in touch and this can be sorted out.
