Empties: Winter 2017 | Mini Review

21:09

It is spring already! What a crazy thought. I cannot wait for the days to become longer and warmer, the winter is just too cold for me. Yes, snuggling in with a cup of tea is a comforting idea, however the thought of leaving warm bed in the morning is just unbearable. These are some of products which carried me through this winter.

I go through many candles so this list is much shorter than what it should have been because I forgot to keep some of the burnt candle pots:

Left - Cowshed Grumpy Cow Uplifting Room Candle RRP £36 but bought for half price in TK Maxx. This soy candle is massive and promises 60 hours of burn time. The smell of mandarin and grapefruit is divine and refreshing but unfortunately when candle is burning the smell can barely fill the room. This would be a great choice if you do not like strong smelling candles however I like very strong aroma so I will not re-purchase. I have also experience quite a bit of 'tunnelling' with this candle which always annoys me.

Top - Amphora Aromatics Citrus Tonic mini pot Candle RRP £5 bought from Latest in Beauty. This candle will burn for 20 hours and has a moderate strength of spicy clove when it is burning. My full review is here. Very even and clean burn.

Bottom right - Neom Tranquility Candle RRP £16 (came part of discontinued set). A sweet scent of lavender with some undertones of jasmine. Neom candles are definitely a luxurious piece that is often too pretty to burn! When you do plunge into burning this beauty, the aroma is moderate-strong.

Left - Pai Skincare Royal Jasmine and May Chang Replenishing Body Oil (discontinued). I have received this as a present and I was not too impressed with this body oil. I am not the greatest fan of body oils because I feel like they do not provide my skin with enough nourishment. I was also hoping for a much stronger smell of jasmine but Pai is a brand aimed towards people with sensitive skin hence adding strong fragrances is a no-no.

Right - Pai Skincare Geranium and Thistle Rebalancing Day Cream 10ml travel tube (RRP £34 for 50ml). One of my favourite moisturisers, see full review here.

Left - Organic Surge Spiced Lily Foaming Bath RRP £6.75. This is their old packaging so I had this bottle for a good while now! I am careful of using foaming products because the skin on my body can be prone to getting dry. The lather is quite good (depends on the amount of product used), I have used up this bottle for my St. Valentine's relaxing bath (as seen on Instagram). The smell is true to the description - patchouli and clove.

Middle - Faith in Nature Revitalising Body Lotion RRP £6.25. I have thoroughly enjoyed using this lotion on my body straight after bath and despite being a lotion it truly delivers impressive nourishment. My skin was soft and happy through cold winter months.

Right - Alaffia Body Lotion with orange geranium RRP $9.99. Another great TK Maxx gem, I have raved about it during my Youtube shopping haul last year. It is incredibly moisturising, I love using it after I have shaved my legs when they need that extra punch of TLC. The only downside is that I was not a great fan of the smell, it was too strong.

Left - Bloom Remedies Daily Detox Face Moisturiser RRP £12.50 for 50ml. Another great moisturiser that I have adored. My full review is here.

Left middle - Melvita L'Or Bio Extraordinary Oil RRP £25 for 100ml. Another purchase from Latest in Beauty. The spray pump is pretty useful however if you are holding a bottle at a strange angle, getting the product out could be a problem. It is very moisturising and the smell is very fresh and reminds me of summer!

Right middle - Trilogy CoQ10 Eye Recovery Concentrate RRP £26.50. I will give it thumbs up because the full review is coming soon.

Right - Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Revitalising Face oil RRP £45 for 15ml. I have previously reviewed this product. The aroma blend of rose, sandalwood and patchouli is very relaxing and therapeutic and the base of jojoba and peach kernel oil is very moisturising.

Finally I can recycle all this packaging!
