John Masters Organics Hand Creams | Review

Ah hand cream, you are my weakness. I love the feeling of soft hands but when you are frequently washing hands, this is sometimes seen as the unachievable dream and the quest for the most miraculous product never ends.

For a good while I have been in love with JMO hair products so when the range was joined by hand creams, my eyes were naturally on them. These puppies come in 3 different scents - orange and rose, lime and spruce, and lemon and ginger. The only available size is 54 ml which is convenient on the go, however, I tend to prefer larger bottles for hand creams I use at home. If we are being honest here, 54 ml is actually not much at all and I can see myself running out of the tube very quickly. The description promises these hand creams are concentrated, yet never greasy, and fast absorbing. The main ingredients are aloe vera gel and sunflower oil which help to achieve these promises.

For me, £14 for a small tube is a risky purchase so I have decided to try a sample first. The two scents which caught my eye are orange and rose, and lime and spruce.

I have tried lime and spruce first. Judging from some reviews I came across claiming this hand cream smells like a toilet cleaner, I had low expectations of it. To my pleasant surprise, the aroma reminded me of coniferous alleys I used to enjoy walking through during family holidays as a teen. The smell of spruce felt very nostalgic and not offensively overpowering. The orange and rose surprised me with very strong notes of orange and very subtle but very interesting twist of rose. The hand cream, as promised, was very nourishing and I enjoyed applying it before bedtime and falling asleep smelling the concoction of essential oils. Whilst the hand cream sinks into the skin beautifully without leaving an oily residue behind, I would not use it during the day because I prefer very light formulas and leave richer creams to the bedtime.

I have definitely enjoyed these creams and I would be interested in trying the remaining lemon and ginger scent. However, I am not sure I would repurchase these without a hefty discount. Even though the hand cream is gorgeous, it comes in too small amount to keep up with my demands.
